Distance measuring devices - For all play at this course a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. However, if, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.
Bunkers if your ball is in a footprint or animal print you may pick up, flatten the area, then drop without penalty. This action must be agreed by the person marking your card.
Preferred lies A ball lying on a closely mown area may be marked, moved or placed within 6 inches of where it originally lay, not nearer the hole, without penalty. Once moved the ball is in play. Note "closely mown area" means any area of the course, including paths through the rough, cut to fairway height or less.
Leaves - the natural accumulation of leaves is to be treated as ground under repair when it's known or virtually certain that your ball is lost under leaves, you may find the nearest point of relief from the spot where the ball last crossed the outermost limit of the leaves, and take a drop, without penalty, within one club-length of that point, no closer to the hole (Rule 25-1, Decision 33-8/31).

A player in any doubt with regards to a ruling should adopt the two ball rule (Rule 3-3) and seek a decision on completion of the round.

Green marker posts to the side of fairways and yellow blocks in the centre of the fairway are 150 yards to the centre of the green. Red blocks are 100 yards to the centre of the green.
